These next few sections are a mini guide of the skills and spells in hotl3. This guide gives a brief introduction on the skills and all planes of magic, as well as highlighting some of the more useful skills/spells in the skillset.

Warrior
At first glance, one might think that there is no distinction between warrior and weaponmaster skills as they both deal physical damage. Not entirely true. There is in fact more variety in the warrior skillset as compared to weaponmasters.

Notable skills:
1) Cyclone kick - this skill does area damage, hitting all mobs at the same time.
2) Mighty blow/Power strike - chance of disarming the target
3) Anti magic - Spells damage movement points instead of hp

Weaponmaster
Weaponmasters, like the name suggests, rely on the weapons they wield to deal damage. Although the weaponmaster skillset does not have area damage skills, they make up for that by having the capability of dealing large amounts of damage.

Notable skills:
1) Cleave/Impale - chance of dealing extra damage
2) Entangle - chance of decreasing the ap of the target

Thief
Thieves rely on stealth and trickery. Backstab is often the first attack on mobs whether levelling alone or in groups. They can deal elemental damage by wearing an appropriate dagger.

Notable skills:
1) Backstab - chance of instantly reducing a percentage of the target’s hitpoints
2) Heal blade - They are able to heal themselves or their friends

Bard
The bard skillset is the epitome of support. They are able to buff, debuff and even deal damage, ignoring resistance. Groups are generally very happy to have a bard in the party.

Notable skills:
1) Folk song - increases hp/mana/mov recovery
2) Remix - the higher the expertise in this skill, the more songs a bard can harp at one time
